A complete live-chat and helpdesk plugin for WooCommerce, written from scratch: about 12,300 lines across 46 files. It runs live on a headless wholesale store whose storefront is Next.js. For that case, the plugin serves its chat widget through a REST endpoint instead of the WordPress footer.

What I built

Four-column agent console

Conversation queues, a thread view with quoted replies and reactions, and a customer and order context drawer.

Headless widget endpoint

GET /cs/v1/widget returns the widget's HTML, CSS and settings, and the Next.js storefront mounts it on the page.

Adaptive polling

Checks quickly while a chat is busy and slows down when quiet. It works on any WordPress host, with no socket server needed.

Secure by role

Only staff can be agents, so a customer can never see other buyers' orders.
